Hettich Rotanta 460

The ROTANTA 460 family of centrifuges is an extraordinary line that meets a wide range of demands. They feature high capacity, versatility and performance. Their state-of-the-art technology and high safety standards ensure smooth running for any laboratory application.

Working with a ROTANTA 460 is taking a step into the future. ROTANTA 460 centrifuges accommodate a wide range of tubes and microtiter plates, as well as containers with volumes up to 750 ml. This is why the ROTANTA 460 is the centrifuge of choice when high sample throughput and versatility are in demand.

The ROTANTA 460 bench-top centrifuges are suited for routine centrifuging tasks in clinical laboratories and pharmaceutical and biotechnology research. (For sample processing in robotic workstations the Rotanta 46 RSC Robotic centrifuge is available.)

Operation and Additional Features

Standard Control Panel

The controls and displays of the ROTANTA 460 centrifuges are arranged ergonomically
Large and easy to read display: During centrifugation the actual values of all parameters are indicated
Water-protected foil keypad: Exact, fast and easy entry of the parameters with selector keys
Speed RPM: Input in increments of 10
Relative centrifugal force RCF: Input in increments of 10
Impulse key: For short centrifuging operations. The rotor spins at the preselected speed or RCF as long as the key remains pressed
Change-over RPM/RCF: By entering the rotor radius r/mm the centrifuge will calculate/indicate speed or RCF
Running time t/min: Input in minutes
Run-up/run-down time: Input of acceleration and braking ramps in levels 1-9, or unbraked run-down
Temperature T/°C: Input in increments of 1°C within a range of -20°C to +40°C with ROTANTA 460R and ROTANTA 460RS centrifuges
"S" Control Panel

Temperature T/°C: with the ROTANTA 460R and 460RS input in increments of 1 °C within a range of -20°C to +40°C
Memory: Since it saves a lot of time the storing of programs is indispensable for laboratories with many different and complicated centrifuging tasks
Up to 89 complete running programs can be memorized and recalled with their storing number. They remain in the memory even after the centrifuge has been switched off.
